Hex Studios ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and how we protect it, in line with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada's PIPEDA.
Who is responsible
The person in charge of protecting personal information at Hex Studios is the owner of Hex Studios, who you can reach at [email protected]. Write to this address for any question, request or complaint about your information.
What we collect
- Information you give us when you get started, request a free mockup or contact us: your name, business name, email, phone number, type of business, current website and what you're looking for.
- Payment information is entered directly on Stripe's secure checkout. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic visit statistics (pages viewed, rough location by country, device type) collected without cookies through Cloudflare Web Analytics.
Why we use it
- To build, launch and look after your website.
- To contact you about your project, your plan and your invoices.
- To prepare a free mockup when you ask for one.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for anything you haven't asked for.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run Hex Studios: Stripe (payments), Web3Forms (delivering form messages to our inbox) and Cloudflare (hosting and statistics). Some of these providers may store information outside Quebec, with protections comparable to those required by Quebec law.
How long we keep it
For as long as you're a client, and up to 2 years after, unless the law requires longer (for example tax records). Free mockup requests that don't become projects are deleted after 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent, at any time by writing to [email protected]. We'll answer within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Security
Our website uses HTTPS encryption, and access to client information is limited to the people working on your project.
