Terms of service.

1. What you get

When you subscribe to a Hex Studios plan, we design, build, host and look after your website as described on our Plans page, for as long as your subscription is active.

2. Billing

• Plans are billed monthly in Canadian dollars, through Stripe. Applicable taxes are added.
• There is no upfront fee. Your first payment is taken when your website goes live.
• If a payment fails, we'll let you know. If it isn't sorted out within 14 days, we may pause your site until it is.

Our guarantee

If you don't love your website when it goes live, tell us within 7 days of launch and your first month is free. You can keep working on it with us, or cancel with nothing owed, on any plan including Starter.

3. Updates

Unlimited updates means reasonable day-to-day changes to keep your site current: text, photos, prices, menus, hours, new sections and small fixes. Larger new projects, like adding an online store to a plan that doesn't include one, are discussed and quoted with you first.

4. Cancelling

• Business and Premium are month to month. You can cancel at any time, and your plan ends at the end of the month you've paid for.
• Starter is a 12-month commitment that starts when your site goes live. After 12 months it continues month to month, and you can cancel any time.
• No partial refunds are given for the current month.

5. Your content and your domain

• Your logo, photos, text and business information stay yours.
• Your domain name is registered in your name, or transferred to you if you leave.
• The website's design and code are licensed to you while your plan is active. If you'd like to keep the site after cancelling, ask us about a one-time buy-out.

6. Your responsibilities

You confirm you have the right to use any content you send us, and that your business information is accurate. We won't publish content that is illegal or misleading.

7. Uptime

We host your site on fast, reliable infrastructure and monitor it, but we can't guarantee it will never be unavailable. We'll always work to fix any problem as quickly as possible.
